Izabella Miko

Izabella Miko, a great actor. A freezing cold getting hit by rogue surf and being made to lay on rusty lobster traps and still look pleasant sort of actor. She looked good doing it and complained less than any of the rest of us wrapped in sweaters and voicing concern about getting stranded at high tide. She really did look lovely. The crew was so enamored with watching her that my assistants forgot over and over to tell me when the waves were coming up behind me.

A little ballerina came to the studio for a portrait. It was quiet and we just used the window for light. It was a lovely way to start the morning.

Beastie Day 11

beastie with sockies and wheelies

some fun news

Ithyle and I are engaged.

This is when it happened. Look at me, blissfully ignorant in frames one and two, super confused (lets never make THAT terrible face again!) in the third, and surprised in the 4th.

I've wanted to be featured in PDN's Photo Annual since college. (and of course this is the first time I've entered) Really, I was SO tickled to have a couple of my images in the Personal section of this years Photo Annual.

it's leica love affair

I am over the moon about this camera generously bestowed upon me by 2 dear friends. My dream camera. My "hangs on my neck all the time" camera. My always ready just in case something lovely happens camera. My "take a picture even if something lovely doesn't happen" camera that makes the most beautiful little click sound. My "can make even commonplace things so exquisite", camera.

so we started a business

Ithyle and I are going to be shooting a lot more together. It's fine by me, I like the guy.

Girls with Glasses

I did this little video a couple of weeks ago. I think there were 36 dresses 45 balloons 12 cupcakes. 1 disgruntled little dog.

Feedback is Fun

Today I saw this on a blog. There were images of our Lost Things stop motion piece. I did a "auto translate" and i LOVE what it said.
I love it when people iron my work several times in succession.
People are lovely. I believe it.

which translated to this:

I have just fallen on this very pretty film in stop motion accomplished by photographer Angela Kohler (be going to see, on his site, his report card new yorkais is delightful). I do not have thing big furthermore to be said on this film if it is not: quickly, quickly, look this how it is pretty! I ironed well it three or four times in succession before deciding on me to make you share this small jewel, history that they cry all together:) (they agree, it is very Alice in Wonderland, all this?) The voice, behind pictures, belongs of " To fine Frenzy ", if you go on their site, full of pieces some people are in listening and are quite a lot of whole. Here it is everything for today, I turn work. Nice after midday under the sun! And especially, thank you Fanny, for this so pretty discovery (as always, on your blog)
